RHINELAND, Mo. - The third annual Horsin’ Around Fun Show, held June 7, 2014, was a shining success despite severe storms and heavy rain during the event. The show took place in Rhineland at the City Park. With the help of many volunteers from the local community, kids and adults from the region participated in more than 40 competitive courses throughout the day.
Mr. Wolff, St. George’s gym teacher and honorary rider, took to the field in sportsman fashion to play HORSE on a horse in a downpour against two of Hermann’s up and coming basketball stars, Emma and Grace Godat.
Back by popular demand the Stick Horse, Costume and Dummy Roping classes allowed competitors to participate without riding horses. Two new classes were also introduced. The All Species class, won by Ava Engemann, and her chicken “Goldie”, and Freestyle Reigning featured choreographed patterns ridden to music.
This year’s event raised more than $7,000. All proceeds benefit St. George School’s Teacher’s Insurance and Retirement Fund.
A special thanks to all of our sponsors without whom this event could not be possible.
