BREAKING NEWS: Aaron Peirick Recommended As Varsity Boys Head Basketball Coach

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - It has been confirmed to QuickNewsNow by New Haven Superintendent Kyle Kruse who said, “We will recommend the school board approves Aaron Peirick to be the new varsity boys Head Basketball Coach and Physical Education teacher at the May 1st meeting.”

Peirick has been the JV boys coach for the past two years as well as the Industrial Arts teacher.  We can also confirm Derek Bailey will continue his role as Assistant Varsity Coach, assuming the board approves the recommendation.

If the school board goes forward with their approval several questions remain.  Who will be the JV and Freshman coach?

Another question is who will replace Middle School Boys basketball Coach Mike Schenck after he resigned at May’s board meeting.

One thing that is almost certain is Peirick will be the High School P.E. teacher after a job posting for an Industrial Arts teacher was made last week and within the posting included “coaching positions are available”.

If the board approves Peirick then two of Coach Steinhoff’s district champions (Bailey member of Steinhoff’s first career district title in 1989 and Peirick in 2008 was Steinhoff’s first Class 2 District Title) from opposite ends of his coaching career will continue the Tradition of Excellence.

We do want to make it clear that the school board must approve the recommendation before Peirick officially becomes Coach Ray Steinhoff’s successor.
