Deer Hunters Prepare To Brave A Cold And Snowy Open Day - Expected 2-3 Inches

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a winter weather advisory for snow...which is in effect from 9 am Saturday until to midnight on Saturday.


Snow will develop over central Missouri Saturday morning and then expand into northeast Missouri and west central Illinois Saturday afternoon. Snow will then taper off from west to east Saturday evening.

Possible accumulations of 2 to 3 inches of snow.  With winds out of the south 5 to 10 mph.

Impacts: The snow will result in hazardous travel conditions, especially on bridge s,overpasses,and untreated roads.

Precautionary/Preparedness measures.

A Winter Weather advisory means that up to 5 inches of snow is expected across the advisory area.

Roads may rapidly become slippery once the snow begins.  Motorists should plan for a slower than normal trip.

Be especially alert when approaching bridges...overpasses...and curves.

Areas under the Winter Weather Advisory are shaded in grey and expected to have higher amounts of snow accumulation.
