Driver seriously injured after running red light, hits truck driven by Gerald man

Villa Ridge, Mo. -  An 89-year-old man from Linn, Mo. was seriously injured yesterday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident near Villa Ridge. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Walter Voss was traveling westbound on Highway 100 in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado and "failed to stop for a steady red electric signal".

Jerry Kimbler, 40, of Gerald, was traveling northbound on Highway M in a 2011 International truck.  Voss struck the rear driver side of Kimbler's truck. 

Both men were wearing a safety device; Voss was taken to Mercy Hospital Creve Cour via Air Evac Helicopter.
