Heavy Rainfall Causes Minor Flooding in Hermann and Gasconade Missouri

Hermann, Mo. - Hermann, Gasconade, and Chamois remain under a Flood Warning after receiving large amounts of rainfall over the past two weeks.

Saturday morning the National Weather Service’s latest predictions call for the Missouri River in these areas to begin cresting today and will slowly fall over the next week.

The latest river levels as of 11 a.m. in Hermann were 24.3 feet and in Gasconade the NWS reports 27.9 feet. (5 feet above flood stage).

The NWS is predicting for river levels in Gasconade to remain above flood stage through Thursday, dropping to 24 feet. (Flood stage is 22 feet)

In Hermann river levels are expected to fall below or at flood stage on Thursday at 21 feet.

However this could all change with a chance of rain in the 5-day forecast.
