UNION, Mo. - The Transfer Engineering Department at East Central College will host a Math and Science Career Night for high school students from the area Wednesday, October 22. The annual event is co-sponsored by Missouri University of Science & Technology and will be presented from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Training Center on the ECC campus in Union.
Students from area high schools and their parents have been invited to attend based on recommendations from their high school teachers. However, any high school age students who might be interested in math and science are welcome and encouraged to attend.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for students and their parents to learn about the many career opportunities in fields related to science, engineering and mathematics,” noted Linda Arrington, event organizer. “During the evening, students will have the opportunity to individually meet with faculty and students from both ECC and S&T.” Arrington encourages attendees to arrive early to gather information prior to the formal program.
