New Haven, Mo. – The Lady Rocks trailed by just five points, 22-17, at halftime to the 11th ranked Lady Eagles, putting themselves in great position to spoil Sullivan’s undefeated conference record.

The second half was a different story as New Haven came out flat showing little intensity as they watched Sullivan quickly extend their five point lead to a game ending 15 point win 55-40 despite Rachel Steinhoff’s 10 fourth quarter points, attempting to spark a fourth quarter comeback.

Steinhoff finished with a game high 18 points and the 17th time she has scored double figures.  Sullivan was led by Taylor Lucas and Aleyssa Lucas’s 13 points a piece followed by Sierra Pryor’s 10 points giving Sullivan their 18th win and improving to 4-0 in the conference.

Midway through the third quarter Sullivan enjoyed their largest lead, 36-21, after Pryor completed a three-point play at the 2:30 mark when Kerstin Monzyk brought New Haven within 12, hitting a three with under a minute left.  Steinhoff followed by hitting a ten footer, closing the gap to 10.

Stephanie Scheer comes off the bench in the second quarter to bring New Haven within two after hitting a three.

Steinhoff brought New Haven within nine early in the fourth but that was as close as they would come leaving New Haven winless in the conference and suffering their ninth loss, falling to 13-9.

Sullivan now controls their own destiny, as they remain the only undefeated team in conference play. (4-0, 18-2)

New Haven begins wrapping up their season by traveling to Hermann on Thursday and St. Clair on Tuesday before returning home next Thursday against Owensville for their final game of the regular season.
