ABC 17’s Meteorologist Neville Miller’s forecast for Franklin/Gasconade Counties

While the majority of the area has watched rain mixed with sleet out their windows throughout the day today, ground surfaces have held at just above freezing, but as we enter the early evening hours the rain is expected to change over to snow.

Here is Meteorologist Neville Miller’s timeline for our area.

5pm - 9pm:

- A cold rain begins changing over to snow as temperatures hover around 32° to 34°.
- Parking lots and some roads may be slushy and some snow covered.
- Accumulation around 1”

9pm - Sat 5am:

- Mainly snow as temperatures will drop from 34° to 30°.
- Accumulation around 2” to 4”
- Snow totals: 3-5”
