Gerald, Mo. - Early Monday morning (Jan. 20th) Gerald Police officers were notified of possible vandalism at the Squeaky Clean Laundromat located on W. Fourth Street.

Upon arrival, the officer noticed glass broken on the front of the candy machine.  The owner was contacted about the damages and responded to the laundry mat to allow law enforcement view the surveillance video.

The Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office was also contacted about a possible link between the laundry mat and the Rosebud General Store burglary that occurred earlier in the morning.

The video, time stamped at 12:44am, showed a single suspect dressed in black and a ski mask entering the laundromat and immediately proceeding to the candy machine.

The suspect then breaks the glass and takes a hand full of candy bars and potato chips, worth about $10.  The suspect then leaves the building in less than 40 seconds.

Captain Chuck Howard of the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office said that the suspect in the laundry mat appeared to be same person responsible for the Rosebud burglary.
