New Haven American Legion To Hold Memorial Day Serive May 25th

NEW HAVEN, Mo. - New Haven American Legion Post #366 will hold a public memorial service on Sunday, May 25 at the American Legion in New Haven, Mo. beginning at 12 p.m.

Commander of the American Legion Post #366 Tori Panhorst said, “We invite the public to attend  to remember those who’ve sacrificed their lives while defending our freedom as well as honor our fellow veterans and the men and women who are currently serving.”

The program will include Pledge of Allegiance, Scripture reading, Lighting of Remembrance Candles, and roll call of the deceased.

The American Legion Unit Auxiliary 366 will place a wreath at the foot of the flag, followed by rifle salute, taps, and Benediction.

This will be followed by the concert sung by the Community Chorus singing patriotic songs.

Grave flags will be placed at veterans’ graves by volunteers prior to the holiday in area cemeteries.
