Narrow bands of heavy, wet snow dumped some of the highest amounts of snow in the region right over New Haven. Areas less than 20 miles away received considerably lower totals.
Here are some of the reports from Friday night’s snowfall.
New Haven: 9”
Due to the nature of the heavy, wet snow and breezy north winds that will persist through the day Saturday, there is the possibility of power flickering or some outages for areas that received heavy snow.
Any untreated roads will likely be slick. Since most of the area received between .25” and .50” of rain before the snow moved in, there may be some freezing of that liquid under the snow.
Will be in low 30s Saturday afternoon before dropping into the 20s for the evening. Saturday night’s lows will dip into mid-to-upper teens. Sunday’s highs will only be near 30°.
