Cape Girardeau, Mo - After a hard fought three set win over Bernie, New Haven faced Leopold, the same team that handed the Lady Rocks their first loss of the season in Friday night's pool play.
In the first set New Haven had two set points but were unable to convert, falling short 28-26. Once Leopold get's on a roll watch out and this is exactly what happen to New Haven in the second set as the lady rocks ran out of gas loosing 25-12.
New Haven ends the weekend 9-8, playing 13 sets over a ten hour period today alone. We will have a complete wrap up on this weekend's Dig For Live Challenge and Coach Jaime Honer's thoughts on how her team played.
Below are brief summaries of Saturday's games.
(6:30 p.m.) - New Haven gets rematch with Leopold in Gold Bracket Consolation Game. Game starting early at 6:45 p.m.
(3:38 p.m.) - New Haven rebounds, winning the second and third sets, 25-10, 25-20, after loosing the first set to Emmience 25-21. The Lady Rocks will now play at 4:45 p.m., which you can watch live right here on QuickNewsNow.
Winner will advance into the Consolation match, loser goes home.
(12:19 p.m.) - After loosing the first set (25-16) to Clearwater the lady rocks battled back, taking the second, 25-17. In a thrilling third and decisive set it was Clearwater who came out on top, 25-22.
New Haven will now play at 2:15 p.m., which will be streamed live.
(10:40 p.m.) - Leopold beats Malden, which means New Haven will play in the Gold Bracket at 11 a.m. and than 2:15 p.m.

(9 a.m.) - New Haven made quick work of of Sikeston, taking less than 30 minutes to pick up their eighth win, 25-6, 25-14. New Haven now waits to see whether they a seed in the Gold bracket or Silver.
Malden (4-0) and Leopold play at 9:50 a.m. The outcome of this match will decide when and where the Lady Rocks will play next. We do know they will play at either 11 a.m. or 12 p.m.
We will stream the following game which will be either 3:30 or or 2:15.
Friday summray - Saturday morning at 8 a.m. New Haven will play their third and final match in pool play against Sikeston.
In Pool C with New Haven are Cooter and Malden. Cooter is 1-3, loosing two sets to Leopold and splitting sets with Sikeston.
Malden currently controls their own destiny, beating Sikeston and Marquand making them 4-0.
Cooter plays Marquand Saturday morning and would expect Cooter to easily win both sets.
Malden (4-0) will face off with Leopold, which should be a good match.
Once pool play is over teams will then be split up into three brackets, gold, silver, and bronze, based on their record.
If New Haven wins both sets they are guaranteed to move into the silver bracket; depending what Malden does verses Leopold, New Haven would still have a chance of playing in the gold bracket.
If New Haven splits or losses both sets then Cooter controls New Haven's destiny.
Times New Haven could play at:
Gold Bracket - 11 a.m
Silver Bracket - 12 p.m.
Bronze Bracket - 1 p.m.

Congratulations to the JV Rocks on winning the Linn Tournament defeating Linn in two sets 25-8, 25-8. New Haven remains undefeated on the year improving to 8-0.
After easily winning their first match vs Marquand 25-9, 25-7, New Haven suffered their first loss on the year to a very good Leopold team, 25-16, 25-17.
Along with New Haven, Leopold is a class one school.
New Haven will finish up pool play tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. against Sikeston.
