Severe Weather Possible Over Next Two Days


NEW HAVEN, Mo. - The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for most of Central Missouri.

Today due to high winds low humidity the NWS has issues a Heightened Fire Danger Warning.

Looking ahead there is a chance for strong storms to begin developing this (Wednesday) evening and then agin Thursday afternoon and early evening hours.

On Thursday strong storms are possible to produce Severe Weather, especially along and south of I-70 and are expected to taper off on Friday.

Another round of storms are possible from Sunday night through Tuesday.

Note for New Haven Residents:  If the siren is sounded in a sequence this means a Severe Thunderstorm is quickly approaching.

If the siren is one long sound this means a tornado is quickly approaching and to take immediate action by moving to the lowest level of your home.
