New Haven, Mo. - Rachel Steinhoff is officially off the basketball market after signing a letter of intent to play at Truman State University on a full scholarship for the 2014 - 2015 season.
Steinhoff said when she visited Truman, “I loved the campus and felt like a place I would fit in. The girls on their team are a lot like me and their program is very similar to the style I play.”
“Everything just meshed together really well,” Steinhoff added.
Steinhoff comes of a career season where she led the Lady Shamrocks to their second straight final four appearance and surpassing 1,000 career points.
Steinhoff averaged 16 points a game with her best performance coming in the Class 2 State Championship where she scored a season high 26 points in a ten point loss to Crane. (55-45)
We will have much more, including an interview with Truman’s Head Coach and what role they are expecting her to play.
