Tyson Wayne Ryland, age 30, of Washington passed away in Washington on Monday, November 11, 2013. He was born in West Branch, Michigan to Wayne and the late Jan Ryland on April 12, 1983.
Tyson served one tour of duty in Iraq from 2003 until 2004. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family. He also spent his free time volunteering at an animal shelter in Tucson, Arizona.
Private services will be held and memorial donations are appreciated in his memory to the VFW Post 2661
He is survived by his father, Wayne Ryland and wife Joyce of Portage, Michigan; three siblings, James D. and wife Takeisha Ryland of Gainesville, Florida, Christina E. and husband Christopher Finder of Washington, and Darcy D. Ryland of Washington; one niece and two nephews, Courtney P. Rubright, Gavin W. Hewitt, and Ethan W. Boze, all of Washington; one set of grandparents, Richard and Peggy Nagel of Mio, Michigan; five aunts and uncles, Lonnie and wife Pauleen Ryland of Hale, Michigan, Connie Sapp also of Hale, Mark Nagel of Mio, Michigan, Kim and husband Joseph Bernard of Grand Haven, Michigan, and Staci and husband Jesus Forté of Wesley Chapel, Florida; and his beloved dog, Llello; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jan Ryland (nee Nagel).
