UPDATED-2: 10:09 QNN is predicting locally snow will begin around 1 p.m. and last into late evening, with heaviest amounts coming after 5 p.m. (We will see if your right.)
Franklin and Gasconade Counties - Yes more snow is set to hit the area on Tuesday beginning to fall in the early afternoon hours and to makes things more exciting snow fall totals have been increased locally for Gasconade and Franklin Counties prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Winter Weather Advisory and yes the evening commute will be nasty.
Specifically New Haven and Hermann are in the 3-6” range but also are sitting along the 6-8’’ range where Winter Storm Warnings have been issued for Montgomery County and Warren Counties, stretching westwards to Columbia. Areas further south of the I-44 corridor will see less snow but possibly a wintery mix.
Any snow that falls will immediately stick with Tuesday’s high in the low 30’s with temperatures dropping in to the high teens by night time.
Timeline (Note this may change but we will keep you updated.)
12 p.m. - 3 p.m. Locally light to moderate snow will begin falling
After 3 p.m. - Snow will pick up and begin falling at a heavier rate, making it a messy Tuesday evening commute.
We will continue to provide updated information as the storm approaches along with complete live coverage throughout Tuesday.
While this is less than thrilling for most of us, it's quite likely someone out there enjoys these storms. For them, good news, another winter storm may well visit next weekend.
