Mar 31 - This comes from one of my devotionals…I guess I never looked at our duties quite like this, but I can guarantee you I will from this day forward.
As believers in Jesus, we are called to be His ambassadors or representatives in the earth. We should feel privileged to have been given this very important position. We can walk in the authority of the name of the one who sent them. As God’s ambassadors on this earth, we walk in His power and authority.
We are to promote relationship with Him. The Bible also calls us “ministers of reconciliation,” which means we are the ones to bring the message of hope in Jesus to the world. When you see yourself as God’s ambassador, it will change the way you think. It will change the way you act. It will change the way you approach people.
One of these days I plan on getting there, but for now I’m not one that can quote scripture and its exact location in the Bible. My focus every day, with His help, is to live the way He wants and represent Him.
Today, remember, that you are a representative of Almighty God. Look for ways to promote relationship with Him. Speak words of healing that will draw people. Show kindness because it’s His kindness that leads people to repentance. Look for ways to bless others as we work together to build His kingdom.
Mar. 28 - Life is too short to worry about stupid things. Have fun. Fall in love. Regret nothing, and don’t let people bring you down and don’t bring others down with negativity.
Life is about moving on, accepting changes and looking forward to what makes you stronger and more complete.
Love is the salt, the energy, and flavor of life, the reason to get up every morning and have the opportunity to do it all over again.
Every day can be EXCITING if we see ourselves as God’s secret agents, waiting for the moment to sprinkle the salt of life on all the tasteless lives we encounter each day.
Let your speech at all times be gracious, seasoned with, to know how you ought to answer anyone. ~ Colossians 4:6
Mar. 27 - There are times in my life, I feel that I’m begging God to reveal His Will, but it seems like all I’m doing is plugging away at some mundane, repetitive task just waiting for my life to begin.
The Truth is, God loves you, He’s right there with you and He is using every difficult and confusing circumstance in your life for your good and His glory. If you’re going through something difficult or frustrating, it’s because God is preparing you for something great!
Keep trusting Him no matter what. No created being can ever know how much and how sweetly and tenderly God loves us.
Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you. ~ Matthew 5:48.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don’t rely on your own understanding. In all your ways, submit to Him and He will guide your steps.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Mar. 26 - I encourage you to remember something when you are in doubt: Believers are called believers because they are supposed to believe! It is just that simple, BELIEVE!! When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, you become a believer, not only in who He is, but in His Word. As a believer, your part is to stay positive, keep it simple and believe.
Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear; only keep on believing. ~ Mark 5:36.
Mar. 25 - Well, we’re back!! The last two years we’ve returned to snow in Missouri…I’m missing those 70 degree mornings. But that’s minor….
What a great time with family, friends and the cardinals. I often think “What have I done to deserve such blessings?” There are times my heart gets overwhelmed with thanksgiving and how greatly I’ve been blessed when I think of all He has done. "Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name forever and ever." Psalms 145:2
Think about all your blessings. They can great or small, and sometimes the smaller the better. Thank Him daily because they only come from one true God!!
Mar. 21 - Trust is not inherited; it is learned and earned!! In the real world lost trust in a friend or acquaintance can be devastating and the process to gain it back can take a long time, possibly a lifetime. We learn to trust God by going through different experiences that require trust. By seeing His faithfulness over and over, we let go of the trusting ourselves, and gradually we enter His rest and place our trust in Him. If you’re in this situation ask God for guidance to gain back the trust that’s been lost.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. ~ Proverbs 3:5-8
Just an FYI, if you don’t receive my message first thing is the morning, especially over the next few days; fear not, I’m ok. May God bless all of you and enjoy today’s beautiful sunshine.
Mar. 19th - If we keep thinking and speaking positive words during difficult times, though it may look to everyone else that our circumstance should make us miserable, we can experience joy from the Father.
From the fruit of His words a man shall be satisfied with good… ~ Proverbs 12:14
When a negative thought enters your mind, think 3 positive ones! Train yourself to flip the script!! I promise you’ll lead a much happier life.
Mar. 18th - Do not let people frustrate you. "The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." Exodus 14:14
Forgiveness requires a discipline of the tongue. Proverbs 17:9 tells us…he who repeats or harps on a matter separates even close friends. The verse begins, He who covers and forgives an offense seeks love…
Heavenly Father, we thank you for your grace and mercy over our lives. Even when we don't deserve it, you continue to be good to us. Help us to forgive things from our past, so we can live in contentment and enjoy all of life’s blessings. We take this time to give you thanks for all things. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Mar. 16th - A believer who can trust the Father when things do not seem to make sense is a mature believer. At my age I have been blessed to know God my whole life. A Sunday without going to church felt and still feels strange. I thank my parents for instilling that in me. God is so good!!
“He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firmly fixed, trusting (leaning on and being confident) in the Lord.” ~ Psalm 112:7
Joy and cheer give us the strength to carry on toward the goal that the Lord has set for us in life. In time of grief and depression is when God wants us to depend on Him. He surrounds us with friends and family for much needed strength. Our God is an awesome god!!
“And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold.” ~ Nehemiah 8:10
Mar. 16th - Timing is a factor concerning manifested answers to prayer. We can pray for something that6 is the will of God, but until His timing is right in our lives, we will not see the manifestation. If you have a Word of God to up your requests, stand in faith until you see the results.
“Now faith is the assurance and confirmation of the things we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see and conviction of their reality.” ~ Hebrews 11:1
Mar. 15th - I found this thought this morning and oh how perfectly it pertains to my life.
God is working in secret, behind the scenes even when it looks like nothing is happening. I am sure there are some that are getting tired of hearing about my health...After today I promise not to mention it for awhile. Regardless of what your trial is keep this verse in mind:
“Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”~ Philippians 1:6
I had two doctor appointments yesterday and all looks as they expected it would. NO more chemo!!! I have known from the beginning that the percentage of the tumor my surgeon could not get (6%) will be my friend for the rest of my life. I am in the monitoring phase of post treatment. I go back in 2 months for another MRI (also another friend for life). Both my oncologists tell me there is nothing to worry about; I have to take their professional advice and know that God is in control. For now that is what I know and could not feel more blessed. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and thoughts through my journey called “LIFE”. It has also been a blessing I will have for the rest of my life.
Mar. 14th - The Lord is the Author and the Finisher. What He begins, He completes. He will do that for us – if we hold our faith firm until the end. He never wants to see us suffer or be in a depressed state. As I have said in many of my posts and will continue to say, always give it all to Him and you will have no need to worry. I have received so much feedback stating I feel like you were directly talking to me. That may be the true, but it is God sending that message through me. Actually, when all is said and done (or written) these words help me as much as they do you; maybe more.
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”- Hebrew 12:2
Mar. 13th - "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." Psalm 51:10
As spring approaches we develop that urge to make everything in our house clean and in order. The winter months have been long and we begin itching to revive our houses and acquire that freshness that we want to invade us as the first signs of spring arrive. Everything outside is singing with new life. We reach into every dark corner of our homes in order to make it presentable, fresh, and new.
Sometimes we need to do the same thing with our spiritual houses. We need to clean up and give ourselves a good strong scrubbing. All of us grow stale sometimes and need a spiritual freshening up. Remember as Christians, Who is living in our spiritual houses. The Bible says, "What know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost..." I Corinthians 6:19.
Mar. 12 - Many people spend their lives climbing the ladder success only to find when they reach the top; their ladder is leaning against the wrong building. When we keep our priorities straight, we discover that everything we really need in life is found in the Lord. I also wonder why people stay in a job that visibly makes them unhappy and even miserable. Take a leap and try something different, depend on your faith to step outside the box. God encourages us to find happiness and to rely on Him for the guidance.
“You will show me that path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.” ~ Psalm 16:11
Mar. 9 - Stand still. God is working on it. "Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee." Proverbs 20:22
“God can do nothing for me until I recognize the limits of what is humanly possible, allowing Him to do the possible.” ~ Oswald Chambers
“…The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” ~ Luke 18:2
Mar. 8 - When I say…My life is full of problems. God says…I will use all things, even the hard things, for your good and My glory ~ Romans 8:28
God says you are valuable. He has chosen you, and he has defeated the devil for you. His Son Jesus defeated Satan by dying on the cross for our sins and then rising again on the third day. Believe what God says about you in His Word, not what others say or what the devil says when he tries to fill your mind with negative thoughts.
To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. ~ Ephesians 1:6
Mar. 6 - “It is astonishing how the act of placing our own will as far as possible in unison with the will of God restores our tranquility.” ~ Arthur Christopher Benson
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.” ~ Psalm 40:8
Dear Father in Heaven, Guide me to always do Your will. Pull me back in when I start doing things my way. I trust that you will always be there, but there are things we need to be willing to do for You, in order for the whole process to work according to your plan. Help me to understand the difference between what’s my part and the part you’re in charge of. In Jesus name, Amen.
Mar. 5 - It’s easy to let negative things play over and over in your mind. Turn that off and put on a new recording, “All is well.
God will provide us with other great things to lift our spirits.” This will be my challenge today. Speak encouragement. Don’t tell people what they’re doing wrong. Be a restorer. Make people feel better about themselves.
The beauty of life does not depend on how happy you are; but on how happy others can be because of you.
Today, meditate on praise and not problems. "Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise." Psalms 98:4
Mar. 4th - Today, give thanks for divine connections. "To him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 5:11
Many people wish things were different in their lives or wish for something that’s out of their control. God asks us to have a “backbone” of faith and to not rely on a “wishbone”. Pray for His work to be done and you won’t be relying on that “wishbone” for gratification. You will eventually find you are relying on God more in your life and not just wishing. Patience and Faith!!!
I know you are enduring patiently and are bearing up for My name’s sake, and you have not fainted or become exhausted or grown weary. ~ Revelation 2:3
Mar. 3 - Doubt causes worry, brings confusion and often leads to depression. It can cause us to say doubtful, hurtful and negative things due to assumptions. Believing is much more joyful than doubting.
Believing, on the other hand, brings us joy and leads us to feeling free to enjoy life. We are care free while God is handling all our troubles.
Jesus replied this is the service that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent. That you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in the Messenger. ~ John 6:29.
Heavenly Father, we ask that you would meet our needs and touch our lives. Strengthen our Faith so we can be free of doubting and worry. Forgive us for our sins and help us to forgive others. We thank you in advance. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Mar. 2nd - When you have faith, you can rest and be joyful about your future. "Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope." Psalms 16:9
My Faith allows me to enjoy every day without worry. Ask for forgiveness when you do wrong and forgive others when they do you wrong.
You can have peace during your storm. "The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace." Psalms 29:11
Give thanks for another day to be loved by God. "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." Psalms 118:24.
