New Haven PD and Sheriff's Department To Participate In Drive Sober Or Get Pulled Over Campaign

--The sobering fact is that impaired driving contributes to nearly 30% of all Missouri traffic fatalities and beginning July 3rd through July 7th law enforcement will be working together in an effort to keep Missouri roadways safe for travelers.

Expect to see an increased police presences during the fourth of July Holiday beginning July 3rd through July 7th.

The New Haven Police Department will municipalities across the state by participating in saturation patrols, while the Franklin County Sheriff's Department take part in statewide sobriety checkpoints and DWI saturation patrols.

Celebrating Flag Day

Today our nation celebrates Flag Day; the day, in 1777, that the flag of the United States was adopted by a resolution of the Second Continential Congress.

According to The History Channel Online, the Congress passed a resolution stating that “the flag of the United States be 13 stripes, alternate red and white” and that “the union be 13 stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation.”

Norman and Ione Celebrate 60th Wedding Anniversary

--Words could never define the meaning of love; instead it is defined through expression and watching two people celebrate 60 years of marriage.

This past weekend Norman and Ione Pilarski celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary after they were married on May 30, 1953.

Just a few moments ago, Father Tim Toohey announced with great joy, for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Unerstall at St. Ann’s Church, Clover Bottom.

The bride, Miss Erin Neier of Union, was given in marriage by her parents Steve and Jane Neier of Union, to the groom, Mr. Adam Unerstall, son of Gerard and Amanda Unerstall and the late Donna Unerstall of Clover Bottom.
