NEW HAVEN, Mo. - The Walt Theater has a block buster lineup beginning this weekend (Dec.5-7) with the hilarious comedy Dumb and Dumber To (Rated PG-13) staring Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, and Rob Riggle with a showing time of 110 minutes.
The following weekend (Dec. 12-14) will feature the number one box office movie Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1(Rated PG-13).

HERMANN, Mo. - St. George School had two teams participate in the First Lego League (FLL) Robotics competition at St. Charles Community College on Saturday, November 15.
The “Techno-Dragons I” received the top overall award, the Champion’s Award, and the “Techno-Dragons II” received 1st place, the Robot Performance Award. In addition to receiving these awards, the teams qualified to advance to the Eastern Missouri Championship.

Area Residents Help 10 Million Children in Need this Christmas through Operation Christmas Child.
UNION, Mo, October 27, 2014— People across the United States are beginning to fill up their Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes in a global mission to help needy children across the world.
UNION, Mo. - East Central College in Union will hold International Education Week activities Monday-Friday, November 17-21.
Leigh Kolb, ECC English and journalism instructor, noted that International Education Week is an avenue for ECC students, faculty and staff to invite community members to campus so everyone can become more aware of and better understand cultural similarities and differences that make up the world at large.
“We encourage community members to come to campus to participate in any of the free cultural or educational events that we have scheduled,” said Kolb.
