NEW HAVEN, Mo. - New Haven High School's May Student of the Month is Senior Garrett Schoenfeld. Garrett is the son of Debra Marino and Robert Schoenfeld. He is active in baseball, FBLA, and FCA.
One teacher commented, “While Garrett is involved in extracurricular activities, it is his classroom behavior that is most impressive to me. His work ethic in class is second to none. He is kind and helpful to his peers. Each day, Garrett comes to class prepared and ready to learn."
"Even when things get difficult for him, his attitude stays positive. He enjoys figuring things out independently, but is smart enough to realize when he needs guidance. His work ethic, sense of humor, and sincerity towards others make him a joy to have in class.”

(This is a correction to clarify that only the HVAC bid was rejected.)
The board also voted to request new bids on the HVAC, which they will consider at the May 28th meeting as well as decide what to do with the current bid for building the new addition to the high school.
NEW HAVEN, Mo. - The April Student of the Month is Senior Ross Seitter. Ross is the son of Bryan and Kris Seitter. He is active in basketball, baseball, FBLA, FCA, and NHS.
One teacher commented, “Ross's greatest attribute is that he can do many things very well. He has not only earned All-Conference honors in baseball and basketball, but also has been named to the Academic All-Conference teams in both of the sports."
"As busy as he is, he is always willing to help others when needed. He is kind to his peers and teachers and his quick wit makes him fun to be around.”
