OBITUARY: Hermann: Dallas H. Kropp (December 14, 1929 - May 15, 2013)

Dallas H. Kropp, 83, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Frene Valley Health Center.

Mr. Kropp was born in Berger, Missouri on December 14, 1929, the son of the late Wilbur and Flora (Krueger) Kropp.

He was the widower of Margaret Ann Kropp. They were married on October 16, 1954 at Berger, Missouri.

Dallas was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann, Missouri, the Hermann V.F.W. Post 4182 and the Hermann Eagles.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a clerk for Schaumberg Hardware. After retirement he owned & operated K & S Bait Shop.

OBITUARY: NEW HAVEN: Jane Ann Willimann (May 18, 1965 - April 18, 2013)

Jane Ann Willimann, 47, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Mercy Hospital, Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Mrs. Willimann was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 18, 1965, the daughter of Lawrence T. and Sandra Jean (Baker) Madden.

She worked as a project accountant for Maritz LLC in Fenton, Missouri. She enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and spending time with her kids at sporting events.

Jane is survived by her parents Lawrence & Sandra Madden of New Haven, a son Jordan Willimann of New Haven, a daughter Taylor Willimann of New Haven, a brother Steve Madden & wife Danielle of New Haven, two nephews Sam & Tim Madden of New Haven, the father of her children Mark Willimann of New Haven, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

OBITUARY: Washington: Sandra Kay Winkelmeier (June 16, 1949 - April 11, 2013)

Sandra Kay Winkelmeier (nee Jennings), 63, lost her battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) on Thursday, April 11, 2013 when she passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side.

Sandy was born in Washington, Missouri on June 16, 1949 to parents Wesley and Judy Jennings.

She grew up in Washington and graduated from Washington High School. After graduation, she attended Southeast Missouri State University.

On November 11, 1978 she was united in marriage to David Winkelmeier, Sr. in St. Louis. They made their home in the Washington/Union area.

OBITUARY: BERGER: Joy F. Carl (December 9, 1931 - April 6, 2013)

Mr. Joy F. Carl, 81, of Berger, passed away Saturday, April 6th, 2013 at New Haven Care Center, New Haven, Mo.

Mr. Carl was born in Berger, Missouri on December 9, 1931, the son of the late Ferdinand and Hilda (Juedemann) Carl.

Mr. Carl lived his whole life in the Berger area, he was a row crop farmer, he also raised hogs, beef and dairy cattle.

OBITUARY: Erik C. Zobrist (September 21, 1961 – March 28, 2013)

Erik C. Zobrist was born September 21, 1961 in Moline, Illinois. He graduated from Truman High School in Independence, Missouri in 1979.  In 1983 he graduated from Grinnell College with a degree in Biology.

Erik received a Masters Degree in Marine Science from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science at the College of William and Mary in 1988 and a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of South Carolina in 1992. 

Erik became a biologist in 1992 for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) of the Department of Commerce in Silver Springs, Maryland, where he specialized in Habitat Restoration. He worked on many wetland habitats in the Louisiana bayous before and after Hurricane Katrina.

OBITUARY: BERGER: Edward M. Keegan (March 13, 1935 - March 27, 2013)

Edward M. Keegan, 78, of Berger, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Keegan was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 13, 1935, the son of the late Bernard and Kathrine (Fieron) Keegan.

He was the loving husband of 25 years to Pauline (Beaver) Stout Keegan. They were married at St. John's U.C.C., Berger, Missouri. Pauline survives in Berger.

OBITUARY: Washington: Glennon A. Sander (October 29, 1947 - March 24, 2013)

Glennon A. Sander, age 66, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Washington.

Glen was born to the late Albert and Veronica (nee Glosemeyer) Sander at St. Francis Hospital in Washington on October 29, 1946.

He grew up in Concord Hill and married Maureen Weiskopf at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church on October 30, 1965.

He was an avid sports fan, and loved to watch any kind of game, especially with his grandchildren. When the grandkids were old enough to play in leagues, he loved going to the games and sometimes even coached.

OBITUARY: Washington: Clarence "Jim" H. Eggert (April 19, 1928 - March 16, 2012)

Clarence "Jim" H. Eggert, of Washington, died on Saturday, March 16, 2013 in Washington.

Jim was born on April 19, 1928 in Casco, Missouri to the late August and Bertha (nee Kassebaum) Eggert.

He was married to the late Evelyn Boesch in Swiss, Missouri on December 3, 1949.

OBITUARY: New Haven: Eugene E. Menke (June 27, 1923 - February 26, 2013)

Eugene E. Menke, 89, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Menke was born in Etlah, Missouri on June 27, 1923, the son of the late Emil and Deana (Hoelscher) Menke.

He was the husband of Eunice (Stephan) Menke. They were married October 9, 1993 at Swiss, Missouri. Eunice survives in New Haven.

Eugene is also survived by three daughters, Jo Dean Bean & husband Gary of Niceville, Florida, Rev. Eugenia Althen of Berger, Missouri and Mary Rigg & husband Tim of New Haven, Missouri, a son John Menke & wife Marnie of Lake Ozark, Missouri, a step daughter Cathy Springer & husband Larry of Moberly, Missouri.
