Major Winter Storm To Bring Blizzard Like Conditions And Freezing Temperatures

UPDATED FORECAST

The snow is on it’s way and along with it will be the coldest temperatures seen in over 20 year, with highs on Sunday in the teens, dropping to -5 degrees by Sunday night and snow fall totals as much as 10” or more in across the area.

ABC 17’s Meteorologist Neville Miller has put together a Winter Storm Forecast specifically for Gasconade and Franklin Counties.

Last Week's Winter Storm Claimed 10 Lives Over 24 Hour Period

Jefferson City, Mo. - Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, urges motorists to be aware that rain, freezing rain, ice pellets, and some snow are all part of the weather forecast for the next several days.

Last week’s snow and ice resulted in 10 weather-related traffic fatalities in approximately 24 hours. The Missouri State Highway Patrol encourages motorists to eliminate nonessential travel.
