THURSDAY: Clouds will clear out through the day, but temperatures will stay very cold as highs only reach the mid-to-upper teens. Northwest winds at 10-15 mph will keep wind chills near zero throughout the day.
TONIGHT: Under a clear sky with light winds, lows will drop to near or below zero.
Jefferson City, Mo. - Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, urges motorists to be aware that rain, freezing rain, ice pellets, and some snow are all part of the weather forecast for the next several days.
Last week’s snow and ice resulted in 10 weather-related traffic fatalities in approximately 24 hours. The Missouri State Highway Patrol encourages motorists to eliminate nonessential travel.
