St. Peter’s UCC Invites the Community to Trunk or Treat Event

New Haven, Mo. - “Trunk or Treat” will be held this Halloween, Oct. 31 beginning at 5:30 p.m. This year’s event will have a bounce house, barrel rides, games, popcorn stand, and hot dog stand. You can also sign-up to win a special Christian prize basket full of age appropriate goodies.

Our members will be distributing candy from their decorated vehicles rain or shine, so make St. Peter’s United Church of Christ your first stop.

The sixth annual New Haven Fire Fest will be held this Saturday, November 2 in downtown New Haven. 

This unique extravaganza is hosted by The Riverfront Arts District and has grown and expanded in activities and attendance each year, adding the "Burning Man" to their already popular "House of Fire and Ice".

Blue Angels To Highlight Return of Spirit of St. Louis Air Show

Chesterfield, Mo. - The Blue Angels performances will headline the first air show to be held at Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield since 2007.

The year 2014 marks the fiftieth anniversary of Spirit of St. Louis Airport, and there is no better milestone for which to bring back one of the most popular air shows in the Midwest, and there certainly is no better flight demonstration to feature than the Blue Angels,” said John Bales, president of the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show committee and Spirit of St. Louis Airport director.

Adam Puchta Winery To Host 3rd Annual Doe Camp For Crusade Against Cancer

Hermann, Mo.– Adam Puchta Winery in Hermann, MO will hold its 3rd annual Doe Camp on Friday, November 8, 2013, to raise money for the Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer. The event will be held at the winery, located at 1947 Frene Creek Road, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Doe Camp is a ladies night out, however “bucks” are welcome. The evening will feature wine tastings, several cash and carry vendors, massages, raffles and much more.

Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park’s 75th Anniversary Oct. 19‏

Jefferson City, Mo. - The public is invited to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park.

Originally dedicated in 1938, the park will host a rededication ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 19. 

Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, all events will be held in the monument field, just as the original dedication events were.

Visitors can enjoy historical presentations, nature displays, storytelling and tram tours of the park.

Activities will emphasize the colorful cultural and natural history of the park, including flora and fauna, early settlement, development of the park by the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) and the legacy of the Babler family.  Festival activities will run from 12 to 4 p.m., and the ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. Food will be available for purchase throughout the event.
