GERALD, Mo. - Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke said that Monday night deputies responded to a residence in the 9000 block of Red Oak Road, 11 miles south of Gerald off of Highway AN.
Toelke said that deputies responded at approximately 7:53 p.m. The reporting party stated that someone had thrown a gas bomb at their residence.
The victim stated that she was home with her children when someone knocked on her door. She stated that she answered the door and made contact with her neighbor who asked if she would watch their residence while they were gone, which she agreed to do.

GERALD, Mo. - Sunday evening at approximately 9:38 PM, Deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department responded to a residence in the 8000 Block of Red Oak Road, approximately five miles south of Gerald, Mo in reference to a possible suicide.
In a statement released by Sheriff Gary Toelke he says that after arriving on scene, deputies made contact with a female who stated she was concerned that her husband may have shot himself following an argument which became physical.

The Gerald Police and Gasconade County Sheriff's department are asking for the public's help in identifying the subject above who is believed to be involved in two separate burglaries.
Gerald, Mo. - Early Monday morning (Jan. 20th) Gerald Police officers were notified of possible vandalism at the Squeaky Clean Laundromat located on W. Fourth Street.
Upon arrival, the officer noticed glass broken on the front of the candy machine. The owner was contacted about the damages and responded to the laundry mat to allow law enforcement view the surveillance video.
Franklin County, Mo. - Over the past week the Franklin County Sheriff's Department has seen a sudden spike in reported burglaries in the Gerald, Mo area. Sheriff Gary Toelke is asking anyone who may have information regarding five different burglaries to come forward. He wants to remind everyone that callers may remain anonymous.
The reported burglaries occurred on the following dates:
Villa Ridge, Mo. - An 89-year-old man from Linn, Mo. was seriously injured yesterday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident near Villa Ridge.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Walter Voss was traveling westbound on Highway 100 in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado and "failed to stop for a steady red electric signal".

Gerald, Mo. – At a regular meeting of the Gerald Board of Aldermen on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, sealed bids were opened for the flooring of the addition to City Hall.
Three bids were submitted; Smilin’ Sam’s of Washington bid $9,540.65, Winter’s Home Furnishings of Owensville bid $8,440.00, and Kay Carpet & Furniture submitted $7,171.88 as their total bid for all flooring.
