- Seth Schenck named Four Rivers Conference Athlete of the year and on the girls side Anna Houston.

The varsity girls FRC Champion is Union, Boys Varsity Champion - Owensville, Boys JV FRC Champion - Pacific, and the Girls FRC JV Champions, New Haven.

ECC Student From Owensville To Receive Scholarship Award at National Conference

Union, Mo. - Dory Perfecto, a business major at East Central College, has been named the 2014 recipient of the Martha Maxwell Developmental Education Student Scholarship.

New Haven To Play For Third After Falling To Owensville 58-48

Hermann, Mo. - Hailey Diestelkamp single handily lifted Owensville over New Haven 58-48 into tonight’s Hermann Girls Basketball Tournament Championship game by setting a new tournament record for most points scored in a single game, putting up 39 points.

Wednesday night the two teams battle back and fourth with nine lead changes and 12 ties as  they began the fourth quarter and both teams knotted up at 34-34.

Diestelkamp finished with a double-double adding 12 rebounds (seven of them offensive boards) and forced six of New Haven’s 15 turnovers in Wednesday night’s quarterfinal.

Rachel Steinhoff led New Haven with a team high 21 points followed Kayla Meyer hitting double figures with 11 points.

Unforced turnovers and second chance points eventually caught up to New Haven in the fourth quarter and Owensville took advantage.

New Haven had the momentum going into the fourth after Steinhoff scored to end the third quarter after driving down the lane and putting up a little floater to tie the game and New Haven starting off the fourth quarter with possession.

Owensville High School Student Inspires Remembrance Of Lives Lost On 9-11

Owensville, Mo. - On Saturday, September 7th, 2013, twelve members of Owensville High School's Teen Age Republicans spent over four hours placing 2,977 American flags in front of their school.  Each flag represented each life that was lost on September, 11th, 2001.

OTAR Members include Emmy Dunlap, Hannah Estes, Andy Gerth, Courtney Hendrix, Justin Isom, Anna Koepke, Emily Koepke, Blaine McKinney, Landon McKinney, Caleb Mundwiller, Cassidy Prater, Kortney Smart, and Alison Walker.

Wednesday marked the third year the Owensville Teen Age Republicans (OTAR) have helped remind not only their classmates, but every car that passes by, of the loss of life in 2001.

Meeting Feb. 23rd If Interested In Playing American Legion Baseball

If you are interested in playing on the New Haven American Legion Baseball team this summer a meeting will be held on February 23 at 1 p.m. in the St. George gym in Hermann.

There will be two teams A and AA.  You must be between the ages of 13 -17 and cannot turn 18 at any time during this current year. (2014)
